Today

The board of trustees is exploring contemporary forms of passing on money. At the centre is the idea of self-mandate: how can money affirm and enable free initiative? Which relationships turn money into a remedy?

How we work

Our assets are our relationships: the foundation works through an unfolding network of its trustees. It mediates and connects above all through organs of perception. One question drives the work: what are the professions of the future?

History

The Stiftung Kulturimpuls Schweiz was founded in Basel in 2010 in the context of the popular initiative for an unconditional basic income. Its trustees were Anton and Seraina Gunzinger, Ursula Piffaretti, Michael Bohmeyer, Götz Werner and Enno Schmidt.

Board of trustees

In 2026 the foundation is reconstituting itself. Trustee Katharina Serafimova takes over the presidency and, together with trustee Daniel Häni, appoints Philipp Tok and Isabell Klara to the board.

Finances

The foundation’s basic costs are covered by Unternehmen Mitte until 2027. The board welcomes every enquiry about future collaborations, building up assets and significant introductions.

Donations

Stiftung Kulturimpuls Schweiz is recognised as a charitable organisation by the Swiss Confederation and the cantons. Donations are tax-deductible for the direct federal tax and for cantonal and municipal taxes.
